RABC Grad Emilie Frias shares her Host Family experience!
Our host family program is an integral part of the support system that helps these exceptional scholars achieve academic success by providing a “home away from home” approximately two weekends (or one weekend and one Sunday) per month during the school year. Host families integrate the scholars into their families and offer a warm and nurturing place for students away from the RABC house. They also help our scholars get more connected to the community by participating in normal everyday family activities – from chores to social functions. This broadens the Scholars’ experiences and often builds lasting relationships that become life-long friendships.
